Rev. Prof. Paul Emeka says Christians are being killed in large numbers and urges the Nigerian government to partner with the U.S. to stop terrorism.
According to The Authority News reporting, the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, Rev. Prof. Paul Emeka, has alleged that Christians are being killed in large numbers across the country and urged the Nigerian government to negotiate with the United States on how to stop the killings.
Speaking in Enugu at the close of the church’s five-day national revival summit, “Peniel 2025,” themed Greater Tomorrow, Rev. Emeka said, “Christians are being killed in large numbers… in Jos they are killed almost daily. You see in Maiduguri and all over.”
He said Nigeria’s sovereignty should not be used as an excuse to ignore the crisis, noting, “It is not a matter of whether Nigeria is a sovereign nation or not; it is a matter of Christians dying.”
Reacting to President Trump’s interest in fighting terrorism in Nigeria, he urged the government to engage positively with America. He also criticized the continued detention of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, describing it as unjust.
Rev. Emeka praised the success of “Peniel 2025,” encouraging Nigerians to maintain faith in God for a brighter future.
