The court further restrained the defendants from trespassing or disturbing the applicants’ quiet possession.

The Ogun State High Court sitting in Sagamu has issued an interim order restraining Governor Dapo Abiodun and other state agencies from tampering with the private residence of former Governor Gbenga Daniel and his hotel facilities.

Daniel, through his lawyer, A.M. Kotoye (SAN), filed separate exparte motions against Abiodun, the Attorney-General, the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority, and the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development. The suits sought to protect Asoludero Court, a property belonging to Daniel’s wife, and Conference Hotel, Sagamu.

Justice O.S. Oloyede granted the interim injunction after reviewing affidavits of urgency, restraining the defendants from trespassing or disturbing the applicants’ quiet possession.

Daniel claimed the properties, including Asoludero Court, have valid Certificates of Occupancy. The court’s decision bars any demolition or interference pending further hearings.
