Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of Dangote Group, has accepted his appointment to the World Bank’s Private Sector Investment Lab.

The Lab, aimed at fostering investment and job creation in emerging economies, now includes Dangote among its influential members.

“I am both honoured and excited to accept my appointment to the World Bank’s Private Sector Investment Lab,” Dangote stated, highlighting his commitment to driving economic growth through private sector-led investments.

Dangote joins other global leaders like Bill Anderson, Sunil Bharti Mittal, and Mark Hoplamazian, all of whom are set to collaborate on scaling solutions for private capital and job creation in developing markets.

The World Bank’s President, Ajay Banga, emphasized that the focus on investment-driven job creation is central to their development strategy.
