This price slash also marks Dangote’s third downward adjustment in under six weeks.
The Dangote Refinery has reduced its ex-depot petrol price to N835 per litre, marking its third price cut in six weeks. The latest N30 drop from last week’s N865 rate follows an earlier reduction from N880, reflecting a 3.5% decrease. The refinery notified customers of the adjustment in a Wednesday notice, reinforcing its push to make fuel more affordable.
This move comes just days after a N15 price slash, signaling a trend of falling costs at Africa’s largest refinery. Analysts say the reductions could ease pressure on consumers amid Nigeria’s economic challenges, though retail prices remain subject to distribution and markup factors.
