Dangote Refinery has increased its ex-depot petrol price from N820 to N850 per litre, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association confirms.
Dangote Refinery has increased its ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N850 per litre from N820, a N30 hike.
The National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abubakar Maigandi, confirmed the new price in an interview on Friday, stating, “The new ex-depot price of petrol at the refinery is N850 per litre.” He added that the plant had resumed petrol sales after suspending operations last week.
The increase means marketers and retailers will pay more to source petrol from the 650,000-barrel-per-day facility.
Earlier this week, pump prices in Abuja reached N955 per litre before dropping to N900. Major outlets like Ranoil, AA Rano, and Empire Energy still sell between N950 and N955 per litre.
