Davido’s second visit to President Tinubu in two weeks has drawn mixed reactions online, with many questioning his motives amid political tensions.

Nigerian pop star David ‘Davido’ Adeleke has stirred online debate following two visits to President Bola Tinubu within a span of two weeks.

The first visit took place on 25 May at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where Davido appeared alongside Cubana Chief Priest and Ubi Franklin. During that meeting, Cubana Chief Priest publicly endorsed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

On Tuesday, Davido was again seen with President Tinubu—this time at his private Ikoyi residence ahead of the Eid el-Kabir celebration.

“This evening, alongside the scion of the Adeleke dynasty, my big brother, Dr Deji Adeleke and my nephew… Davido… we paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence,” Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke posted on X.

The visits sparked mixed reactions, with critics questioning the singer’s proximity to the presidency, especially after he recently clashed with APC figures over political tensions in Osun State, only to later retract his claims and apologise.
