Reacting during a recent interview with Adesope Live, D’banj pleaded with the three brothers to reconcile their differences. He also urged the federal government to intervene.

Veteran Afrobeats singer D’banj has appealed to the federal government to intervene in the long-standing feud between Nigerian music duo P-Square—Peter and Paul Okoye—and their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye. The legal dispute escalated after Peter filed a lawsuit alleging fraud against Jude and his company, Northside Entertainment.

Speaking on Adesope Live, D’banj described the situation as “very sad” and urged reconciliation. “When you want to fight, you only know the beginning, you really do not know the end even if you are right or wrong,” he said. He emphasized the value of dialogue and highlighted the importance of preserving their music legacy, especially their catalogue.

“I would like to beg anyone that is a mentor to them… if possible, the nation [federal government],” D’banj added. Drawing parallels to past interventions by the government, he suggested that institutions like the Bank of Industry could help resolve the financial aspects of the conflict.
