Dele Momodu, a prominent PDP chieftain, has praised President Bola Tinubu for intervening in the FCTA’s controversial property sealing operation led by Minister Nyesom Wike.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Dele Momodu has praised President Bola Tinubu for halting the sealing of properties in Abuja over unpaid ground rents, calling it a strong show of leadership.

On May 26, the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA), led by Minister Nyesom Wike, sealed several properties—including banks, fuel stations, the FIRS office, and the PDP national secretariat—due to outstanding debts. Public backlash followed, prompting Tinubu’s intervention and a 14-day grace period for debt settlement.

Reacting on Instagram, Momodu stated: “THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TINUBU… you have stepped into the matter of your cantankerous Minister of FCT, MR NYESOM WIKE…”

He described Wike’s enforcement as excessive and politically vindictive. “We used to think we have two presidents… Now, we know WIKE has a boss who can checkmate his excesses,” Momodu said.

He urged Tinubu to rein in Wike’s political activities in Rivers State, warning that Nigerians already face enough hardship without additional “burden and insults” from the FCT Minister.
