Dele Momodu has accused the PDP of working for President Tinubu by zoning its 2027 presidential ticket to the south under Wike’s influence.
Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and ex-presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, has strongly criticised the party’s decision to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the south, describing it as “the most reckless decision in the history of our nascent democracy.”
In a post on Instagram, Momodu alleged that the move was engineered by Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory, acting on behalf of President Bola Tinubu. “Who did not know that ultimately the hand was that of Wike while the voice was that of Tinubu. Their game plan is not hidden,” he said.
He accused PDP leaders of succumbing to “cheap and puerile blackmail” and claimed the party was positioning itself to back Tinubu in 2027. Momodu further dismissed speculations about possible PDP candidates like Goodluck Jonathan and Peter Obi as “blatant lies from the pit of hell.”
He warned that zoning to the south “stinks to high heavens” and signals the party’s capitulation.
