The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has condemned the recent killing of two Chinese nationals and their police escort in Abia State.

The victims were ambushed by gunmen while en route to a mining site in the Isuikwuato Local Government Area. Kalu expressed condolences to the victims’ families, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Abia State Government.

He called for a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice, emphasizing that criminals should have no safe haven in Abia or elsewhere in Nigeria. Kalu also commended the police for their response, which saved the remaining members of the Chinese team and their escorts.
