Terry G denies death rumors, says ‘devil made me popular ’

Terry G dismisses rumors of his death and insists his viral “devil” comment was a personal admission, not a call for controversy.

Nigerian musician Terry G has denied reports of his death, clarifying his recent controversial comments about serving the devil.

According to online reports, the singer, known for his eccentric style and energetic hits, addressed viral rumours claiming he had died, as well as backlash over his statement on The Honest Bunch podcast where he said, “I sing for the devil. I’m falling short of the glory of God.”

In a now-deleted video posted to his Instagram page, Terry G said in pidgin, “How una dey my people? Social media, ma pami now. My phone has been buzzing since morning. People have been calling to check on me that they saw something online about my R.I.P saying Terry G don die. I beg ooo, whoever is trending that news should stop. I’m doing very fine, please stop that. I beg you in the name of God.”

Clarifying his earlier comment, he added, “Una no know before? Una no know say na the devil I dey serve? Yes na devil I dey serve. Na devil makes me blow.”
