Prosecutors have dropped kidnapping, arson, and trafficking claims in Diddy’s racketeering trial ahead of closing arguments.
A day before closing arguments in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering trial, prosecutors have withdrawn key allegations related to kidnapping, attempted arson, and aiding sex trafficking.
In a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, the government stated, “The government is no longer planning to proceed on these theories of liability, so instructions are no longer necessary.”
On Tuesday, both sides rested their cases after Combs waived his right to testify. “That is totally my decision,” he said in court.
Asked how he was feeling, Combs replied, “I am doing great, thank you, your honor,” later telling the judge, “You are doing an excellent job.”
