Sean “Diddy” Combs may serve only months after his prostitution conviction, with experts calling the case the most expensive of its kind in U.S. history.
Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is likely to serve months — not years — in prison following his conviction in what experts call the most expensive prostitution trial in American history. The 55-year-old was convicted on two counts related to transporting escorts across state lines.
Former federal prosecutor Mitchell Epner told The Post, “The convictions for interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution likely will lead to a sentence that will be measured in months, not years.” He added the sentencing guideline range is “15 to 21 months,” which lawyers may contest.
Combs has already spent nearly 10 months in jail since his arrest on September 16 and may receive credit for time served. Epner noted, “The court may grant it, given that Sean Combs has been held in MDC — one of the worst prisons in America.”
Neama Rahmani, another legal expert, said, “He may even get time served… [This was] a huge overwhelming win by the defense and a tremendous loss for the prosecution.”
