Felicia (surname withheld), who was 15 when she moved in with the couple in Lagos, alleged that Emeka sexually assaulted her from September 2021 to May 2022, after months of grooming.
“He started touching my breasts, and I started crying,” Felicia recounted. “He said all he wanted was my body, and he would give me anything that I wanted.”
According to Felicia, when she reported the abuse to Emeka’s wife, Ngozi, the woman allegedly instructed her to continue the relationship.
“She told me to go to him and ask for sex on a particular Sunday and that if he agreed, I should call her on the phone before going to the room,” Felicia claimed. “When she came into the room, she started laughing.”
Felicia further alleged that Ngozi gave her waist beads and instructed her to make nude videos for her husband.
Ngozi has vehemently denied all allegations, telling Saturday PUNCH that Felicia fabricated the accusations following an internal family dispute.
“What kind of woman would allow her husband to sleep with another girl, let alone a girl of her age?” Ngozi questioned. She accused Felicia of misconduct, theft, and inappropriate behavior during her time with the family.
The case was reported to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in 2022, with the couple arrested and later released on bail. However, Felicia claims there has been no progress in her case.
NAPTIP Press Officer Vincent Adekoye assured that the agency is committed to ensuring justice, stating they “would continue to work diligently to resolve the case and ensure accountability for any wrongdoing.”
