Don Jazzy says marriage may be the personal sacrifice of his successful music career but insists he remains content and fulfilled.
Veteran music producer and Mavin Records chief Don Jazzy has spoken candidly about the personal trade-offs that came with building his career. Appearing on the Echo Podcast, the 42-year-old revealed that while he has no regrets about his rise in the entertainment industry, marriage may be the one thing he unknowingly sacrificed along the way.
When asked what he had to let go in pursuit of success, he responded, “I never thought I’d be in my 40s and not married. Maybe that’s the one I lost along the way. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, I’m totally fine.”
Don Jazzy, who helped launch the careers of stars such as Tiwa Savage, Rema and Ayra Starr, added that his life would still be centred around music even if he weren’t a label executive.
Despite the trade-offs, he said he remains deeply fulfilled with his achievements.
