Communities in Ebonyi South say Tinubu has ended Igbo marginalisation and pledge support for his 2027 bid.

Communities in Ebonyi South Senatorial District, under the OHANIVO General Assembly, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for second terms.

The declaration was made during the group’s 2025 Iri Ji Festival on September 27. Leaders from Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo LGAs cited fairness, inclusiveness and development as the basis for their support.

According to the Assembly, Tinubu has “broken the jinx of Igbo marginalisation” by ensuring no region is sidelined. Governor Nwifuru was commended for delivering the People’s Charter of Needs, with projects spread across communities.

“Our people believe President Tinubu has renewed hope for a united Nigeria, while Governor Nwifuru has deepened inclusive development across Ebonyi. This is why we are standing with them for a second term,” said Hon. Darlington Onuabuchi Okereke, President-General of the Assembly.

Senator David Umahi also backed the endorsements, insisting Nwifuru’s re-election was certain and urging the South East to rally behind Tinubu.
