Comedians Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are now in-laws after their children, Eric and Jasmin, tied the knot in a private ceremony.
Comedy legends Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence have officially become in-laws, following the private wedding of Murphy’s son, Eric, and Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin. Murphy made the announcement on Thursday’s episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
“Actually, they got married two weeks ago,” Murphy said. “They went off — everybody was making their big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them.”
He joked that Lawrence wouldn’t have to “pay for the big wedding now.”
The newlyweds have not posted about the ceremony on social media. The couple, who began dating in 2021, got engaged last November.
Murphy said a larger celebration is in the works: “They’re going to have a big party.”
