“My name is Baby Natasha, and I will be delivering this speech from my husband, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba,” she said.

Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru has officially confirmed her marriage to Nigerian music icon Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, ending months of public speculation.

In a video from a Children’s Day event posted on her Instagram Story, Ms Osawaru publicly referred to 2Baba as her husband while delivering a speech on his behalf.

“My name is Baby Natasha, and I will be delivering this speech from my husband, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba,” she said.

This marks the first time the legislator has confirmed the union, following earlier signs such as adopting the Idibia surname and being introduced to the singer’s mother.

The relationship became public shortly after 2Baba’s separation from his wife of 12 years, Annie Macaulay.

According to cultural rites, 2Baba introduced Osawaru to the elders of the Idoma Kingdom and to Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State.

Their engagement was confirmed earlier this year, following a Valentine’s Day proposal by the award-winning singer.
