Anthony Joshua has fallen out of Ring Magazine’s heavyweight rankings after inactivity, with fellow Nigerian Efe Ajagba taking his place at No.10.
Two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has dropped out of Ring Magazine’s updated heavyweight rankings, with fellow Nigerian Efe Ajagba moving into the top ten, according to talkSPORT.
Joshua, who has been sidelined since suffering a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in 2024, also underwent elbow surgery that delayed his return to early 2026. His prolonged absence has already seen him removed from the IBF heavyweight rankings, and Ring Magazine has now taken him off its list, where he previously held the No.5 spot.
Ajagba, 31, secured the vacant No.10 position. The Nigerian Olympian, who turned professional in 2017, has lost only once to Cuban contender Frank Sanchez. His last bout in May ended in a controversial draw against Martin Bakole.
Despite the setbacks, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said the boxer will stage a comeback in early 2026, with Tony Yoka or a debut fight in Ghana among the options.
