Eko DisCo has announced a 25-day power outage in Lagos due to TCN’s maintenance work on a major transmission line.
Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko DisCo) has announced a 25-day blackout across parts of Lagos State.
In a notice posted on Friday via its official X account, the company said the planned daily outage would run from July 28 to August 21, 2025, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
According to the statement, the outage is to allow the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carry out essential maintenance on the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330 kV transmission line.
“Residents should expect intermittent electricity supply and load shedding across the Eko Disco network,” the statement read.
