Elon Musk has acknowledged that some of his recent social media attacks on President Donald Trump “went too far,” marking a shift in tone following violent immigration protests in Los Angeles.
Elon Musk has admitted that some of his recent social media posts criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump “went too far,” days after a public spat with the president. The Tesla CEO and former White House official resigned from his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) last week.
He had accused Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” of undermining DOGE reforms and backed impeachment calls, also suggesting the president appeared in Jeffrey Epstein files.
Most of Musk’s critical posts on X have since been deleted. Reacting to the controversy, Trump said he had no interest in reconciling with Musk and accused the billionaire of being “disrespectful to the office of the president.”
However, following violent protests in Los Angeles over immigration raids, Musk has begun softening his stance. He added American flags to a post by Vice President JD Vance stating the administration would not tolerate violence, signaling renewed support for Trump’s leadership on national security and immigration.
