A popular native doctor, Levi Obieze, also known as “E de play, e de show,” has been arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service while attempting to flee the country. He is wanted in Enugu for the abduction of a 13-year-old girl and the discovery of decomposing bodies of pregnant women in his compound.
Operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have arrested Levi Obieze, a native doctor popularly known as “E de play, e de show,” wanted by the Enugu State Police for alleged kidnapping and ritual killings.
Obieze was intercepted at the Gbaji checkpoint on Badagry-Seme Road, Lagos, while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle with fake pretense.
“Through credible intelligence, Obi Levi Obieze was apprehended by vigilant men of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Border Patrol Command,” said NIS spokesman Akinsola Akinlabi.
Obieze, from Isiagu, Enugu State, is accused of abducting a 13-year-old girl and linked to the discovery of two decomposing bodies of pregnant women in his compound.
A source told The Guardian the girl was taken after suspects pretended their motorcycle had a fault.
A viral video showed Obieze paraded naked by villagers.
NIS confirmed he admitted to the crimes during questioning. He remains in custody pending handover to the police.
