House Democrats have released emails in which Jeffrey Epstein referenced former President Donald Trump, claiming Trump “knew about the girls,” sparking new political controversy.
According to a report from NBC NEWS, House Democrats on the Oversight Committee released emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that reference former President Donald Trump, including one in which Epstein claimed Trump “knew about the girls.”

The emails, exchanged between 2011 and 2019 with Ghislaine Maxwell and journalist Michael Wolff, were obtained as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into Epstein’s connections. In one 2019 message, Epstein wrote to Wolff, “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the emails, accusing Democrats of “selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.”

Committee Democrats said the release “raises glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding.” Republicans, however, accused Democrats of “cherry-picking documents.”
Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking. NBC News reported that the released documents also include thousands of pages from Epstein’s estate in which Trump is repeatedly mentioned. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in Epstein’s crimes.
