Ex-AIICO agent claims fraud cover-up, alleges threats and arrest by client

AIICO has used kinetic and non-kinetic means to intimidate and silence me. I have escaped two (2) assassination attempts.

Nwosu Obinna Adolphus, a former agent of AIICO Insurance, has accused the company of deleting transaction records and withholding clients’ insurance benefits. “Receipts already issued were erased from the portal,” Adolphus claimed. He alleged AIICO altered records between May and June 2024, then blamed agents like him for the discrepancies.

Adolphus said he received commission on verified payments, but AIICO later denied the transactions, blacklisted him, and refused court proceedings. After whistleblowing, he said, “AIICO has used kinetic and non-kinetic means to intimidate and silence me. I have escaped two (2) assassination attempts.”

Clients interviewed confirmed their payments through Adolphus were not acknowledged by AIICO until pressure or external involvement, with one noting, “I was paid N400,000, but I was expecting N700,000.”

Adolphus, now suspended, has filed complaints to agencies including EFCC and SEC. He was arrested and detained by police on July 24, allegedly on behalf of an angry customer. “If I have defaulted, can I please have my day in court?” he pleaded.
