Former APC chairman John Odigie-Oyegun joins ADC, says party “has Nigeria’s interest at heart.”

A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Edo State, John Odigie-Oyegun, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Oyegun received his ADC membership card on Tuesday from the party’s state chairman, Kennedy Odion, after completing his registration in Benin City.

Speaking at the event, Odion praised Oyegun’s experience in building political coalitions, saying: “He has put together what is called a coalition before, and he succeeded. So, he understands how he did it before; doing it again is not a difficult task.”

Odion added that Oyegun chaired the committee that selected ADC as the coalition’s platform.

In his remarks, Oyegun said the ADC emerged as the most credible option after extensive consultations.

“We talked to a lot of parties… but we have not seen a party as dedicated as the ADC,” he said.

He described the party as having the best interest of Nigerians at heart and pledged to help advance its mission.
