A grieving father has accused vehicles in First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s convoy of killing his nine-year-old daughter, Saratul Lawal, during her official visit to Akure, Ondo State. In an emotional interview with SaharaReporters, the bereaved father said eyewitnesses confirmed a convoy vehicle crushed his daughter near Oba Ile, though he didn’t witness the incident himself. The Islamic school pupil was rushed to a healthcare center but died, prompting her immediate burial under Islamic rites.
“People said they saw it—that it was the convoy…but what I did not see with my own eyes, I can’t say it was them,” the father stated. Meanwhile, Ondo Police denied the claims, attributing the tragedy to a hit-and-run Lexus driver.
