The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a Milwaukee County Circuit judge Friday, FBI Director Kash Patel said on social media, accusing her of helping an undocumented immigrant avoid arrest.

A Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge, Hannah Dugan, was arrested Friday by the FBI for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest. FBI Director Kash Patel claimed on social media that Dugan “intentionally misdirected federal agents” from apprehending Eduardo Flores Ruiz in her courtroom, stating, “the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public.” The post was later deleted.

Dugan, charged with obstruction and concealing an individual from arrest, was taken into custody at 8:30 a.m. ET at the courthouse and processed by the U.S. Marshals Service. She is set to appear in federal court in Wisconsin.

The incident highlights heightened immigration enforcement under the Trump administration, with officials vowing to scrutinize local resistance. ICE agents had visited Dugan’s courtroom with a warrant last week. Flores Ruiz allegedly fled the courthouse upon learning of the arrest plan and was later apprehended. He remains detained and has not yet entered a plea.
