FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is weighing resignation following tensions with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Trump administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, according to a source.
“I don’t think Dan comes back if Pam stays,” the source told The Post, noting the conflict stems from Bondi’s February remarks suggesting Epstein’s “client list” was “sitting on my desk.”
A DOJ memo released Monday stated no such incriminating list existed and concluded Epstein died by suicide, impacting “over one thousand victims.” It added, “We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
President Trump has said he’d release all Epstein-related files if re-elected. While figures like Bill Gates and Bill Clinton had past ties to Epstein, Trump has denied involvement.
Bondi dismissed speculation Epstein was an intelligence asset, stating, “I have no knowledge about that.”
Bongino previously said DOJ files “clearly indicate” Epstein’s death was a suicide.
