FCT Minister Nyesom Wike joined the Body of Benchers’ procession in Abuja as his son Jordan was formally called to the Nigerian Bar.
ABUJA — The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday joined the Body of Benchers’ procession at the Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja, where his son, Jordan, was among the new lawyers formally admitted into the Nigerian Bar.
The minister, accompanied by his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, joined family and colleagues in celebrating the milestone. Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the development in a post on his official X handle, sharing photos and a video from the event. “Happy Dad and Mum. FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, with their son, Jordan, who is to be called to Bar today,” Olayinka wrote.
The Call to Bar ceremony, organised by the Body of Benchers, is a statutory event that admits successful Nigerian Law School graduates as barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Thousands of new lawyers took the oath this year.
