The Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Kuru-Jos, Plateau State, disbursed more than N235.5 million to at least seven companies for projects officially marked as “None,” raising concerns about procurement violations.

According to records reviewed by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), the payments, made on November 14, breached the 2007 Public Procurement Act, which mandates clear descriptions for all government disbursements.

The records show that J & I Construction Company Limited received the largest share with N83 million in two tranches. Teebex Global Resources Limited was paid N67.6 million, while Global Builders Limited collected N38.9 million. Other beneficiaries included Jonat2rule Global Resources Ltd (N15.3m), Lamyus Nigeria Ltd (N8.65m), Amsak Constructions Nigeria Ltd (N8.6m), and Volaris Global Resources Ltd (N7.4m).

The college, under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, is mandated to train Nigerians in sustainable agriculture. Reached by phone, a college representative declined comment, requesting written inquiries instead.
