The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, has announced the Federal Government’s plan to expand functional primary healthcare centres from 1,800 in 2023 to 17,000 by 2027.

Pate, represented by Dr. Suleiman Bello, made this known at the Nigeria Medical Association’s 5th annual delegates meeting in Katsina.
Governor Dikko Radda urged the NMA to engage in policy dialogue and outlined state efforts to improve healthcare delivery.
Dr. Muhammad Abubakar, NMA Katsina chair, said the conference fosters reflection, learning, and advocacy for better conditions.
