“Recovered assets must benefit Nigerians,” Minister Dangiwa says.

The Federal Government has taken possession of a 753-unit housing estate in Abuja recovered from former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
The property was handed over by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development on Tuesday in Mabushi, Abuja.
“The Ministry… has taken delivery of the 753 Housing Units Abuja housing estate of former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,” said the Ministry’s spokesperson, Salisu Haiba.
Minister Ahmed Dangiwa hailed the EFCC, saying the recovery reflects Nigeria’s commitment to repurposing looted assets for public benefit.
