Former CJN Mohammed Uwais dies at 89

The former CJN died in the early hours of Friday, according to the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Dr Kayode Ajulo.

Former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Mohammed Uwais has passed away at 89, Ondo State’s Attorney General, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, confirmed Friday.

Uwais served as CJN from 1995 to 2006 and later chaired the Presidential Electoral Reform Committee under late President Umaru Yar’Adua, working alongside figures like Bishop Matthew Kukah and Olisa Agbakoba (SAN).
