France confirms no military support given to Israel during Iranian missile attack

At this stage, and given the nature and trajectory of the Iranian attacks against Israel, French military resources have not been mobilized,’ says Jean Noel Barrot

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot stated on Sunday that France has not deployed military resources to aid Israel in countering Iranian missile attacks. He explained the decision was made based on the specific nature and trajectory of the strikes.
“At this stage, and given the nature and trajectory of the Iranian attacks against Israel, French military resources have not been mobilized,” Barrot told RTL radio.

This statement follows remarks from French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday, who said France might consider operations to defend Israel if Iran retaliates against Israeli strikes and if France is “in a position to do so.”

Macron urged restraint from all parties involved in the escalating regional tensions. He criticized Iran for not meeting international nuclear obligations and held it largely accountable for regional instability. Despite the growing conflict, Macron reaffirmed France’s ongoing commitment to Israel’s security.

France continues to monitor developments while advocating for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions.
