“After more than three decades of lies, speculation and distortion, it is time to let Freddie speak.”

A new biography has revealed that Freddie Mercury had a secret daughter, now 48, whose existence was known only to his inner circle. The Queen frontman’s love child, known only as B, speaks out in Love, Freddie, by rock biographer Lesley-Ann Jones.
“Freddie Mercury was and is my father,” she writes in a letter published in the book. “He adored me and was devoted to me.”
B was conceived during a fling in 1976 with the wife of one of Mercury’s closest friends. Raised in Europe by her mother and her mother’s husband, B had a private relationship with Mercury, who gave her 17 personal journals before his death in 1991.
“He cherished me like a treasured possession,” she added.
Jones says B never sought money or fame and was privately supported through a legal arrangement.
“After more than three decades of lies… it is time to let Freddie speak,” B explained.
The book is set to be released later this year.
