Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s country home in Kogi was attacked again Tuesday night. A suspect, believed to be a ritualist linked to her political opponents, was arrested.

Gunmen again attacked the Ihima, Kogi residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan on Tuesday night—just two months after a similar incident.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers vandalized windows but were repelled by police, local vigilantes, and youths. One suspect, Suberu Jose, a native of the area, was arrested and allegedly confessed to participating in three previous attacks.

A mob reportedly attempted to lynch him before police intervened. Recovered items included charms and a cutlass. The remaining attackers, armed with dangerous weapons, fled and remain at large.

This follows the April 15 attack on the property, which left damage but yielded no arrests.

Senator Natasha, currently facing criminal charges after accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, condemned the attack.

“Our resolve to speak truth to power and advocate for our people must not be met with terror,” her media team said.
