”God said to me, ‘Son, I brought you here. This is where you will stay. The day you leave this denomination, your firstborn will die,’” he stated.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), revealed that God warned him against leaving the denomination, stating his firstborn would die if he departed. He shared this during the June Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption City in Ogun State.
Adeboye disclosed the divine warning while addressing the importance of spiritual consistency at the June Holy Ghost Service, themed “Destined for Greatness (Part 2).” He referenced a sermon by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye, lamenting how young Christians frequently switch churches, always introducing themselves as first-timers.
Recalling his early days, Adeboye said three major ministries were thriving, but God instructed him to remain in RCCG. “God said to me, ‘Son, I brought you here. This is where you will stay. The day you leave this denomination, your firstborn will die,’” he stated.
