The lawmaker representing Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, raised the alarm on Thursday that some armed men raided her family home in Obeiba-Ihima, Kogi State.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has raised concern over a recent attack on her family residence in Obeiba-Ihima, Kogi State. In a statement issued in Abuja by her media team on Thursday, the senator revealed that gunmen invaded and vandalised her grandfather’s house on Tuesday night.

According to the statement, the assailants believed the senator was in town after her younger brother had taken contractors to inspect sites for upcoming constituency projects. “Two days ago, my younger brother took some contractors to my hometown in Ihima… The unknown gunmen assumed I was the one in town and attacked my family’s house that night,” she said.

She noted that the attack was repelled by the civil defence team and community members. “A report was made to the police area command, and no one was hurt,” she added, urging the Inspector General of Police to reinstate her security details.
