Armed kidnappers invaded Grow Homes

in Kubwa, Abuja, early Monday, holding residents hostage for over an hour. The attack occurred between 12am and 1:30am, with witnesses confirming at least one man was abducted, while a woman was later released under unclear circumstances. Residents reported a 30-minute gun battle between the assailants and police who arrived around 1am.

A traumatized resident pleaded for government intervention: “We beg the police and FCT Administration to site a station here for rapid response.” The community also appealed for road repairs to enable security patrols, citing how kidnappers overpowered local vigilantes during the invasion. Authorities have yet to confirm the total number of victims.
