At least 10 people are feared dead following a tragic accident involving six vehicles along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near the Soka area in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The crash occurred in the early hours of Tuesday and reportedly involved three Nissan Micra taxis and three articulated trucks. Eyewitnesses described the collision as one of the most devastating in recent times, with rescue workers pulling mutilated bodies from the wreckage. 

“The crash happened at high speed, and the impact of the collision left several victims trapped inside the crushed vehicles.

Some were confirmed dead on the spot, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries,” a source told PUNCH.

Emergency response teams were still on site at the time of reporting, working to clear the highway and rescue possible survivors. Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact death toll, but recovery efforts remain ongoing.
