Fox News is struggling to navigate the public fallout between former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who exchanged personal insults on social media Thursday.
The conservative network’s hosts, typically aligned with both men, expressed disappointment. “Not a story that we wanted today for America,” said Will Cain.
Greg Gutfeld urged them to “knock it off” and not ruin a potential Trump “Golden Age.” Laura Ingraham, calling Musk a “modern-day Thomas Edison,” insisted, “Trump is not the problem here,” and called the situation “irreparable.” Others downplayed the feud. “Big deal,” said Sean Hannity. “They’ll become friends again.” Lawrence Jones added, “There is no split,” calling both men “strong alpha males.” Jesse Watters compared it to a love triangle, while Ainsley Earhardt likened it to a romantic breakup.
Hosts also addressed Musk’s Epstein claim, with Brian Kilmeade calling it “way over the top.” Still, no Fox figure has firmly taken sides.
