Aregbesola accused APC of misgovernance and declared ADC the preferred alternative ahead of 2027.

Former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of plunging Nigeria into hardship, alleging that the government has failed in its responsibility to the people.

Speaking on Saturday at the unveiling of the ADC Secretariat in Ilorin, Kwara State, Aregbesola said the APC had governed with “incompetence, greed, and poor leadership,” resulting in widespread poverty and insecurity.

“Under the current administration, hunger has taken over the land. Governance has been reduced to personal enrichment and political intimidation. Nigerians are suffering because of the failure of leadership at all levels under the APC,” he stated.

He accused the ruling party of suppressing dissent, saying, “If the APC is confident of its strength, it would not be hounding and haunting opposition members everywhere.”

Expressing optimism for 2027, he said, “The hatred of Nigerians for the ruling party is obvious, and the party that will harvest that unpopularity is the ADC.”
