A female food vendor in Haiti who had lost family members to a criminal gang took her revenge by poisoning 40 gang members, the country’s media reported.

A Haitian food vendor poisoned and killed 40 gang members in Port-au-Prince as revenge for her family’s murders, local media reported. The woman, whose identity remains protected, served the gang—affiliated with notorious crime boss Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Cherizier—a free meal laced with industrial insecticide.

Known for selling a popular delicacy in Kenscoff, the vendor gained the gang’s trust before executing her plan. Minutes after eating, the members of ‘Viv Ansanm’ suffered severe vomiting and stomach pains, dying before help arrived. “They had no reason to suspect her,” a source told Haitian outlets.

Haiti’s gangs have long terrorized civilians, but retaliatory attacks are rare due to fear of reprisals. The massacre marks a bold act of defiance in a nation overrun by violence. Authorities have not commented, but the story has sparked both shock and quiet admiration among locals.
