In Washington, a new law firm takes on the legal fights liberals hate

A new conservative law firm in Washington, Lex Politica, is stepping into political litigation that major firms avoid. Founded by lawyers who’ve worked with Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk, the firm aims to represent Republican figures shunned by traditional “BigLaw” firms.

“The administration and others are catching on,” said CEO Chris Gober, criticizing firms that “refuse to take on cases… connected with the conservative or Republican movement.” Gober noted Lex Politica already represents nearly 20 senators and over 50 House members.

Attorneys Steve Roberts, Jessica Furst, Christine Fort, and Nicole Kelly recently joined the firm. “BigLaw’s problem with Trump isn’t legal, it’s cultural,” said Roberts.

Lex Politica was also involved in forming the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and works with Musk-backed America PAC. “There was definitely a level of creativity… you normally don’t see,” Gober said.

A court recently struck down Trump’s executive order targeting Perkins Coie as unconstitutional.
