Inmates praised Diddy for teaching business skills in jail, with letters to the judge urging leniency ahead of his Oct. 3 sentencing.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is receiving unexpected support as fellow inmates at MDC Brooklyn submitted letters praising him for mentoring them behind bars. The Bad Boy Records founder, awaiting sentencing on Oct. 3, has been teaching a course called “Free Game With Diddy,” sharing lessons on business planning, discipline, and avoiding “easy money.”
Dozens of inmates described his impact in letters to Judge Arun Subramanian. One wrote, “Because of this class I have a purpose, something to look forward to every day,” while another said Diddy “saved me” and brought unity across racial lines in jail. Others credited him with giving them tools to pursue legitimate ventures after release.
Diddy’s legal team had earlier submitted character letters from family and friends. The new testimonials aim to persuade the court to show leniency when sentencing the music mogul, who faces federal charges.
