The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), FCT Command, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, has urged newly trained personnel to adopt innovative strategies to tackle vandalism and infrastructure sabotage. Speaking at the passing-out ceremony of 174 officers on Monday in Abuja, Odumosu said the officers must apply the tactical skills gained during their joint training with the Nigerian Army.

“I charge you to go forth as worthy ambassadors of this Command, embodying discipline, excellence, and tactical operational efficiency in winning the trust of Nigerians and bringing to an end the menace of vandalism,” he said.

Odumosu stressed that combating crimes such as banditry, kidnapping, and cyber threats requires modern security tools and knowledge. He assured that the training would lead to improved surveillance and quicker response times.

The programme, themed Enhancing Tactical Efficiency Through Modern Security Tools, aims to strengthen security operations in the Federal Capital Territory.
