With negotiations stalling, Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are said to have moved on

Inter Milan have ended their pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman after failing to reach an agreement with the Bergamo club, Italian media reports.

According to SportMediaset via FCInterNews, Inter submitted two offers worth €40 million and later €45 million, including add-ons, but both were rejected. Atalanta reportedly maintained their €55 million valuation of the Nigerian international.

“The Ademola Lookman deal is currently on hold. Inter and Atalanta have reached an agreement for Zalewski’s transfer to Bergamo, but have not discussed the Nigerian striker, nor do they intend to do so in the coming days,” FCInterNews reported.

With negotiations stalling, Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are said to have moved on, shifting their focus to other reinforcements. The €45 million initially set aside for Lookman will now be redirected towards signing a defender and a defensive midfielder.

Udinese’s Oumar Solet has emerged as the club’s top defensive target, while midfield options are also being explored.
