An investigation is underway after two aircraft collided on the ground at Charleston International Airport in South Carolina, injuring two passengers.

The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. local time on Friday, July 18, when an All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 787-10 struck the tail of a parked Breeze Airways Airbus A220-300. According to Breeze, the flight had diverted from Norfolk, Virginia, due to thunderstorms and was awaiting refueling when the collision happened.

ANA confirmed that the jet’s left wingtip made contact with equipment positioned near the Breeze aircraft. “There were five people onboard the ANA plane, who disembarked without injury,” the airline said.

A Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson told PEOPLE that only ANA crew members were onboard at the time. Breeze said all passengers were deplaned and transported to the terminal. “Two people were evaluated for minor injuries,” the airline added.

A replacement aircraft later took the Breeze passengers to Norfolk, arriving at 2:50 a.m. Saturday. The FAA has opened an investigation.
