Haq said “some relief items rejected for entry into Gaza are ones which Israeli authorities deem to fall outside the scope of humanitarian aid.”

The United Nations said Thursday that Israel rejected 107 requests for the entry of relief materials into the Gaza Strip since an Oct. 10 ceasefire, blocking essential humanitarian supplies.

He said nearly 90% of the requests came from more than 330 local and international NGOs, with over half denied because organizations were “not authorized” to deliver aid.

Haq added that rejected items included “dual-use” goods such as solar panels, generators and mobile latrines.

Citing the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Haq noted ongoing Israeli strikes in Khan Younis and Gaza City, warning that military activities “put civilians, including aid workers, at risk.”
