The strike hit the Kuwaiti Field Hospital in the Muwasi area, where hundreds of thousands have sought shelter in sprawling tent camps.
An Israeli airstrike hit the northern gate of the Kuwaiti Field Hospital in Gaza’s Muwasi area on Tuesday, killing one medic and injuring nine others, according to hospital spokesman Saber Mohammed. The victims included both patients and staff, with two patients in critical condition. The hospital is located in a region where hundreds of thousands have sought shelter in tent camps. The Israeli military has not yet commented.
Separately, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his rejection of Palestinian statehood during a call with French President Emmanuel Macron, who recently announced France’s intention to recognize a Palestinian state by June. “The creation of a Palestinian state would be a huge reward for terrorism,” Netanyahu reportedly said.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported over 51,000 deaths since the war began in October 2023, following Hamas’ deadly incursion into Israel. Israel claims to have killed 20,000 militants, though it has not provided evidence to support the figure.
